GBlanks rods

Featured Replies

Hey, I saw someone post something about them a few months back, but entirely forgot what was said.  I'm looking for a LIGHT rod with some power for jigs, and something with a split grip.

There's a few nice GBlanks for $125 or so , 7ft MH 3.6 Ounces. Only thing I haven't heard of are the guides being used,

TITANIUM NITRADE GUIDES, how do these compare to fuji?

Any information would be great. I don't want to spend over $150 and that's the highest possible I don't even want to pay that, otherwise I'd buy a Loomis  ;D

TITANIUM NITRADE GUIDES
I have never heard of them, they could be Batson Products

Fuji's guides are the Titanium Frame w/SiC Ring (Silicon Carbide).

I am always building, I have a couple of new blanks (3C70MHF and a 3C68MXF) that i am building next..

Tight Lines!!!

TITANIUM NITRADE GUIDES

I'd bet it's a Pac Bay guide... the mud hole catalog lists them.

I'll be surprised if they aren't sold before you finish them.

flechero,

It's been so long since I have looked at anything PacBay, that I forgot to check PacBay for those guides..Your probably right.

Yeah I hope that someone walks in and says build that for me, and that one for me, then I can call them custom..

:) :)

Back to the original question.....G Blanks are good rods for the money. I own 5 or 6 now myself and I dont regret buying any of them. I will warn you though that their spinning rods are a little "off" on the ratings. Their medium is closer to a med-light, medium heavy is closer to a medium.....and the med-light is like a noodle, seriously.

I would suggest calling Larry at G Blanks and explaining in detail what you are looking for.....and he'll be able to tell you what you need and answer your question about the guides. I have Fuji's on all of mine so I'm not familiar with the ones you asked about.

Good luck.

GBlanks - it's only $10 more to go with Fuji guides.

I'll attest to that one. I love my noodle rod though.
