ive got a rod that says its lure wt is 1/8 to 5/8 so that means its good for pretty much what lures?

Anything between those weights. ;D

no kidding but what lures are normally between those 2 weights?

  • Super User

There's thousands of lures between those weights, find some things you like, Jigs / Plastics  are both fun to fish, and 3/8oz and 1/2 jigs are the most popular and both in your weight class.

Most lures (light to medium). Examples would be Original Floating Rapala, Jitterbug, Rat-L-Traps, Silver Buddy, spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, Rogues, Bomber Square A, Norman Fat Boy, Bagley BII, worms <6", jigs and much, much  more.

Take another look at the rod and post the ratings for Power and Action. Then we can give you a better idea of what the rod is designed to fish.

ok the rod says its a 6 ft 1.83m mrd action

3/4 of all bass lures and sinkers fall into that weight category, so your rod is in practical terms good for a big bunch of lures.

ok what should i expect for those 3/4  ;D this way im on the right track with this rod
