Has anybody seen the commercial for Ugly Stick rods were a man is getting ready to go fishing and his wife takes his rod and tries to break it?  She tries as hard as she can to break it to keep her husband from leaving but has no luck.  Then as a last resort she folds the rod up and stuffs it in the trash compactor to destroy it.  Her husband walks over to the trash compactor after she leaves, removes the rod from the compactor and goes out the back door to fish with the rod in perfect shape.   ;D ;D ;D

I am not a big fan of Ugly Sticks but I thougth the commercial was hilarious.

yeah i seen that one, it was pretty funny!!!!! i also have seen the magazine ads when some beefy dude is there and he bent the rod so the tip touches the butt, i wonder if thast possible, or if they made a special rod to do that.

I think last years Evinrude commercial (I think) was the funniest one I have seen.  It had the two guys in the boat where one of their hats blew of and the fat driver bent over in his pink thongs! ;D

I worked the Shakepree booth at a show 25 or 30 years ago. You take a brand new rod give it a real had shake and then bend away.

If you don't shake them first they will break.
