kb here went to sportmans monday picked up a st croix avid med fast tip spinning rod for $100.00  and a 20 series pti quantun  for $119.99.   took fishing tues  man do i like this combo  and it will catch fish.. kb   had to get the rod and reel in pic

Great setup.

I have two similar setups.  I've got two of the same reel and a St.Croix Avid 6'6'' MH and a 6' ML.  The ML setup is one of my favorites. I use it for Mepps inline spinner baits, weightless soft plastic, like the 4in senko and small grubs, and light weight hard baits.  The reel is fantastic for soft plastic.  I have had great luck with all different kinds of line with this setup, including 20lb Powerpro, 6lb Yozuri (regular and ultra soft), and 6lb P-Line Floroclear.

Great setup and hopefully it will serve you well for many years. I have several similar to that and have caught many species with them with no problems (including musky).
