Falcon Lowriders are a great choice. I've heard nothing but good things about them.

Welcome aboard!

Regardless of the brand, length or style (spinning/ baitcasting), it is important to have Fast or Extra Fast Action and a firm tip. My "soft plastics rod" is a St. Croix ES70MF.

If memory serves me correctly, last year I was watching a TV show hosted by a famous local outdoorsman. He was somewhere in central america??? maybe the same area RedlineRobert goes to, fishing for Peacock Bass. I'm pretty sure he was with the originator of the Falcon rods. All they used were Falcon rods, and they didn't seem to have any trouble boating some pretty nice fish with the rods.
