i love the poppin grass frog!!!!!!  ive always had great sucess with them &  bass absolutely KILL them.......

That's a heckuva price. I've been using both this lure and its close cousin the Grass Frog for about a dozen years and they're both very good. I do use the trailer hook that is supplied with the bait.

do you put the trailer hook right over the other hook or do you use a leader??

just take offf the trailer hook

they work great for me

ive never used them but looking at them in the stores they look like crap. they look like that hook would snag up alot. but apparently they work good  .

I slip the trailer hook eye over the point of the main hook then put on a piece of tubing to prevent it from coming off, but allowing it to swing freely. Not sure what you mean by a leader in this situation.

I ment if you use a peice of line attached to the main hook and pull something else like a worn or somethng else.

I like them, but find other topwaters to be more productive.  My father in law uses this bait almost exclusively when we go out.
