What St Croix Avid rod to you use for topwater. I'd like it for Hula Poppers, Jitterbugs, SPRO PRO Bronzeye Frogs and others.

For the treble baits liek the Hula Popper and Bug go for a rod with a medium action and fast tip or if you perfer a moderate. For the Kermits, go for the Heavy action. Buzzbaits or single hooked baits go to a medium heavy action. imo

When I throw topwater, it's usually a Super Spook, and I really enjoyed throwing that on my AC66MF/Revo STX combo this year

For my tops like Chug bugs, pop-r's, etc., I like my 5'6" MF pistol grip

For my buzzbaits, etc., I use a 6' MHF straight grip
