My bass season has ended,due to muskies,and I figured the technique I needed to learn most was the shaky head. So what are your guys' favorite worms and jig heads for the shakey head?

Come on! Fall is the best time to bass fish, they are going crazy eating! Anyways, zoom finesse or stike king 3x green pumpkin 5", as for a jig head, usually 1/8oz. Yamamoto with an owner hook.

Spot Remover head (u pick size) and a Power Bait Shaky Worm......deadly.

A ZOOM trick worm will work if I run out of the Berkley's.

I have some friends who fish almost exclusively the shakey head rig and they catch a lot of fish.

As for the bait, Tin2win is correct.

The only other thing I would suggest is putting some Mega Strike on your plastics and dip the end of the worm in either Spike-It or JJs chartruse or lime.

And remember, if there is a lot of "muck"on the bottom your shaky head jig head will collect it for you.

I use Powerbait shaky head worms and Harsh Hedz from harshman custom baits.

You can turn almost any common & ordinary jighead into a shakey head, only thing you need to do is to be shure it has a long shank hook, then purchase a pack of these:

And voilá, there you have a shakey head for a few cents a piece ( Low_Budget style   )

I really like Yamamoto products but when using the shaky rig I want a worm tail to float. Salt makes the worm tail sink. I think Zoom baits are too hard so I started using Conquistador worms but they have been out of stock for months, so I found magicworms. I use them along with Cossa tackle. But the magic worms are better.

I use a Dave's Tournament Tackle jig head in the 3/16th oz. size and roboworm fx straight tail worms. I prefer green pumpkin or black.   8-)

The Gulp Shaky Worm looks good too, any of you try it?

I haven't tried Gulp does it float?  Not sure I care for the colors.

I've got a lot of jigheads and I like them all, but the Picasso Shakedown head is becoming one of my favorites.  The small, titanium spring is easy to thread the worm on and it stays out of the way on the hookset.  I like the round jighead style best as it works in most cover situations.

As for worms, their are so many good worms out there.  I like the new Gambler Giggy Sticks and I'm still playing with the Big Stick.  I also do well with ZOOM Finesse and Trick worms as well as worms from NetBait.

I've also been stickin craws on em and had good results recently,on the spot remover in particular.For worms,every one knows the trick worm is one of the best.

I haven't tried Gulp does it float? Not sure I care for the colors.

The tail doesn't float as well but I did get my PB smallie on this setup this year.
