These are killer baits during the fall

These are some of the most underutilized lures on the market. I like the Silver Buddy, but as Catt mentioned, pick up a few Cordell Gay Blades, too! These blades are especially effective fishing for smallmouth, spots and white bass. A slow retreive NEAR the bottom is often the ticket. Bouncing off the bottom might be a good technique depending on the structure, but these lures hang-up quite easily and when they do, you don't usually get them back.
