reel size

Featured Replies

OK I need some advise/help/input on what to buy. Looking at Shimano Curado's. The new 200's only come in 5.0:1 or 7.0:1. The 300's are 6.2:1 but weight in close to 10.5 ounces. I really wanted a 6.2:1 (3 of them) as a medium sized crankbait reel. The cost of them are the 100 dpv at $149. the 200 dpv/dhsv at $149. and the 300 dsv at $179. and each reel will receive a $50 rebate. Concern is the size of Shimano's new reels.

Thats what i would do

x3.  I have both.  The 200 is to fast for cranks IMHO.

Thanks for input. I was thinking that direction just needing another thought. Have a curado reel and use it constantly. Sending it to reel mechanic for cleaning/repair and rest of reels will be used as back up only. Buying three of them and will use rebate to buy another reel. Dang baitmonkey!! ;D
