Who uses Silver Thread line????

I like Super SilverThread.  I've been using the 4 lb. for trout for the last five or six years.  Never had any trouble with it.

IMO there are better lines on the market for every application.

Apparently the an40 i supposed to be good.

Used to use 2-6lb back when smallie fishing in creeks is about all I did. I'll still use 6lb. every once in a while for some types of finesse fishing. It's good line, but for the majority of my bass fishing I have my spools lined with other line.

I use it in clear water because I hate flourocarbon and mono has too much stretch.  Silver Thread is a copolymer, which kinda has the best of both worlds.  Low vis and low stretch.  Works great on crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and topwaters.  I still prefer braided line for jigs, c-rigs, and t-rigs when I can get away with it.

I use Silver Thread excalibur for almost everthing and I use Silver Thread AN40 for crankbaits. I'm a big fan of Silver Thread and highly suggest giving it a try. In the last 5 years that I've used it I've only lost 2 fish to broken line and that was probably my fault for not re-tying. It also casts great and has low memory.

I don't use Silver Thread line, so I can't offer anything from experience.

But based on different line tests that I've read, Silver Thread is a top-rung line that appears to be under-recognized.

I use Silverthread Excaliber and love it.  I buy a 3000 yard spool ech Spring and it lasts me most of a season.  I like it because of the low memory, thin diameter, price, and abrasion resistance.  I normally use either 14 or 17 pound.  I do use braid and flourocarbon for specialized techniques, but for most purposes Silverthread is and has been for about 5 years, my go to.  Give it a try, it would suprise me if you are disappointed.

Tried it once, and had not a single complaint about it. Haven't got around to ordering anymore. I used 12lb for Jigs, and had great sensitivity, never felt a single nick in the line, and little memory.

I use silver Thread for cold water steelhead fishing. I buy 6 or 8 lb test. I like it better than mono in cold weather b/c it doesnt come off my spinning reel like a slinky.. Copolymer lines for any time temps are lower than freezing
