BPS Crankin' Stick

Featured Replies

I fished a BPS 7'M Crankin Stick for a couple of years and for the money it is a pretty good rod.

Mine just stands in the corner of the garage now since I replaced it with a St Croix Avid.

Anybody use these for spinnerbaits?

I got 3 while they were on sale and I'm trying to decide how to set them up.  Two 6'6"M will be rigged with 12# mono, but I was thinking about putting braid on the 7"M to use with medium divers and spinnerbaits.  What do you think?

Why would you fish crankbaits on braid?

Why use braid?

So you can get you baits back for one.

I use braid in stained water for rattle traps too.   The braid will cut through grass better than mono.  The line actually acts like and saw and you have  less hangups.

Why would you fish crankbaits on braid?

Braid also has a thinner diameter so you get more depth out of your cranks. But I still use mono.

man i just bought one and its awsome...the 7 foot med heavy realy versitile

BPS Crankin' Sticks seem to be the only BPS rod everyone really likes.  I don't own one, but am impressed that everyone seems to agree they are a great cranking rod.

Plus you can toss it farther.

Yea I have a couple. I think they are the most under rated rod in their line up. but then again thats OK because the prices are so good.
