Rapala Super Shad Rap - anyone use?

Featured Replies

Grabbed one of these yesterday - They look like they should catch some stripers and big large/smallmouth.

5.75 inches and 1 5/8 oz. and dive 5-9 ft.  Looking to give em a shot this weekend...just wondering if anyone has had success with them?

I picked up a few of these last week but unfortunately have not been able to try them out.  :) These should do well as I have good success with the X-Raps.

Let us know how you did with them when you get out on the water.

I tied it on last night and tried it in a pool....it looks great!  Big but not too big for bass..has a great swimming action.  Also if you reel slow, you can wake it on the surface.  Looks like a winner  :)

I've had two Super Shad Raps for years. I've never caught a bass on them, but the muskies have taken a liking to them. Got the tooth marks to prove it.

They are great lures, like the rest of the Rapala line-up of lures.

About 10 yrs ago i bought 2 - perch and shad colors. My shad color bait stays home, but the perch stays in the boat. 2002's big largemouth (for me) ate that bait and now i take it every time out. I don't use it unless i just can't get a bite with my favorite 16 or so tactics/baits.. haha..
