702 ML Dobyns rod

I have a St. Croix AVID AS70MF. The reel is spooled up with 8lb mono, that has only and will only be used for 1/8oz and 3/16oz shaky heads. I've caught several 5+ pound drum (sheephead) on accident, so I can tell you this rod has enough backbone to slam the hook home and get her in the boat!

My drop shot/split shot(live bait) rod is a St. Croix Premier PS66MF. I absolutely love this rod! I got it off Muddy for almost nothing, and would have bought another if not for being able to get that Avid NEW for under $100.

If I decide to try shakyhead style fishing, I already have a great rod for it, my BSR803 worm rod.
