franklin,

I own the 68MXF, but in the Legend Elite.  It is paired up with a Daiwa Sol.  I really love this rod.  I use it for 4" Senko-type baits, tubes, small jigs and T-rigs.

The LT model is listed as a topwater rod.  That blank is a bit too fast for topwater for me, but that's just my opinion.  If you like a very fast rod for twitchin'/poppin' topwaters, this rod should suit you very well.  I just don't like a rod that fast for treble-hooked baits.

If you're lookin for a plastics rod, this one will shine.  Plus it has looks to boot.

I bought 5 of them within the last few weeks, sold 1 to a buddy, and gifted the other to a family member. The 3 I kept, all casting rods, were the TBC70MF "teaser, the TBC66MF "jerkbait", and the TBC76MHMF "pitching". These were the older full grip rods, and I got them all for $149 on clearance, I can't wait to get out and fish them.

Like Mike Bat, I also have three rods from the LT series and love them all but I don't have the specific rods you are asking about.  What I can say though is that the 6'8" blank for both spinning and baitcasting is very well designed.  My girlfriend has the Avid and LE casting verision and I have the LT spinning version.  All great rods!!!  You wont be disapointed.

The Legend rods seem to be top notch, and you won't be sorry. While I've never actually fished them, they are quite nice. Personally though, I don't like the new split grip design on any rod, so I would look for last year's models, or go with a Loomis IMX. Of course, if you like the split grips, then I guess that you'd absolutely love a 2008 Legend Tourney. ;)

I personally like the split grips. That is one of the main reasons I want to get one of legend tournament rods over another avid. I like the split grips alot. I feel like they balance the rod out more for some reason. Plus they make the rods look awsome.
