what do you think a good rod is????

 Really would be better with little more info. Budget comes to mind. I've tried to wait till Bass Pro has it's sale in the Spring. Got 2 Bionic Blades. One year $40 and then $50 the next. There are better rods out there but not for that price.IMHO ...

There are a lot of "good" rods out there... some better than others. They will all catch fish... it's mostly personal preference! Just look for one with a good reputation and warranty!

To me, a good rod is one that fits my needs.  It must balance well with my reel and be apropriate for the type of lure and line I'm using.  In general, I like a 6'6" or 7' rod MH with a fast, but a little soft, tip on a casting rod and on spinning rod I like a 6'6'' M fast to x-fast.

What exactly are going to use it for and how much do you want to spend?  More info is needed............
