Featured Replies

Well im not to sure how good a purchase i made but i just bought a brand new in box silver max. I realize its a cheaper reel and has a graphite frame and all but for $37 i couldn't pass it up. I figured for $37 its worth a try.

Good looking reel.  Please let us know what you think of it.  BTW, the oil looks like Shimano oil.  Not the short little fat Abu oil that I've always gotten.

I have one exactly like it except mine is came on a rod and reel combo. So far I am pleased with it, I use it alot when my daughter and I are walking the bank. I don't have a problem with graphite frames, my first low profile was an AG 2005LP that I use all the time.

Dicks Sporting Goods sells those with a Berkely Lightning Rod for 59.99 with a $20.00 rebate coupon attached to the rod.  They look like fine reels and I don't think you can go wrong with an Abu.
