fishing a new pond
Well it wasn't too bad. I started with a spinnerbait with no luck, but once the sun started going down I started hitting them pretty good on a buzzbait and *** strokin toad. Nothing with much size but atleast I didn't get skunked! I tried working soft plastics and jigs through this stuff, but its some thick moss. Im wondering if my best bet will be to go at early morning and late evening using topwaters.

fishing a new pond
Well I got permission to fish a small pond close to my house. I am going to go out this evening and give it a try. The farmer who owns it says its stocked with catfish, bluegill, and largemouth. He also said that its full of moss in the bottom of the pond. Never had a situation like this so I am looking for some help. How would you all approach this? Thanks

new spinning reel
I went with the Shimano Sahara. I searched it and found nothing but good things. I will go with a pflueger when I put my next spinning rig together.

low profile vs round reels
I use an Abu Garcia 5500 C3 for my crankbaits and have no complaints. I can cast my cranks a mile with it. Its the only round reel I use.

Well the the reel foot (graphite) on my shimano sonora is bent now. Now I am in the market for a new spinning reel and need some suggestions. I am willing to try any brand and model. Just need to keep the price below $100. This reel will be used for t-rigged plastics. Thanks

plastics casting rod
I have been using spinning gear for all my soft plastic fishing but I want to start using a casting set up now. I have the reel already, a revo s. I have found a couple rods I like so far and was wondering if anyone has any experience with them. I am also open to suggestions on other rods. The catch is that I only want to spend around $100. Here are the two rods I have found so far: Shimano Compre 6'10" MHXF Falcon Lowrider Weightless Worm Special 6'7" MHXF

Rant: I hate my job.
I'm an apprentice wireman for the IBEW and I love it. I've been doing electrical work for the last 4 years and have no complaints at all. Its a good trade to get into. Always need electricians!

Just got my Revo S
Well I finally got a Revo S. I really like the Silver Max that I have alot so I figured I should give the Revo a try. I wasn't sure how much better it would be than the Silver Max before I ordered it. Now that I have it though I think there is quite a bit of difference in just the feel of it and smoothness. I just got done spooling it up with 12lb Yo Zuri Hybrid Ultra Soft and cant wait to use it!
