I have been living here in Quincy for 5 years, started bass fishing about two years ago.  I had found a  place to fish for bass, however the land owner no longer allows anyone back on the property.

So I have no fishing place around here, except for the murky  Mississippi River, which I dreadfully hate.

So does anyone have any suggestions about a good bass fishing area around Quincy, Illinois?

Is anyone around this area or been from this area able to answer this?

I know it's not that close to Qunicy but I do business with folks there and they swear by Mark Twain in Missouri. It is near Monroe City about 40 miles from Qunicy. They way they tell it it is good for bass and crappie.

Well, I have been fishing in Mark Twain Lake and bass fished it on several occassions.  However, Without the luxury of a boat, I was limited to where I could fish.

But I'm not aware of a place around Mark Twain Lake, Except for a La Grange place in the Missouri side I believe.  But I'll check it out though.  Thanks for the suggestion.

Have you tried getting on IDNR's website to see what lakes are around you?
