Zoom Trick Worm Colors

Featured Replies

Im tempted to purchase a bag of Zoom Trick Worms but I feel I have one problem....Color.

WalMart is the only place locally that sells them and the only color I can get is a Lemon color or a Bubble gum(pink) color.

I know watermelon would be a much more productive, natural color,so out of the 2 choices I have, which should I purchase? Neither of the colors match any kind of forage in the lakes I fish.

I fish bright colored trick worms in the Clear water of my home lake. I like Merthiolaid and Bubblegum. These work great when the water gets hot and the fish are in the short grass in shallow water. So if I had to choose between those two colors. I would pic the bubblegum. But if I was trying them for the first time. I would try to find some Green Pumpkin or Watermelon ones somwhere.

If there's another tackle shop near then they are required by fisherman's law to carry trickworms in at least 10 different colors...seriously any good tackleshop should have them and if they dont get some online.

i never leave home without a couple of bags of black trick worms. i have had more success with black than any other colors combined.

I agree with the Bubblegum color. For some reason the fish like the Trick Worms in the crazier colors.

I too use the worm with great success with a variey of techniques.Have NOT used any of the bright gawdy colors yet in these. They just look too weird. Was serching and reading but have seen very little about whether these "crazy colors" will work well in staind, muddy, clear water.Basically which type of water you throw the crazy ones in?Is it still just a general rule with these to use the dark ones (ie:junebug, black) in tannic or dark water,or will the bright ones work in these situations?

Most of the water I fish is heavy stain or tannic. Was trying to maybe get an edge,or rather show the fish something different or crazy. Any suggestions?

I use pink as you can see it easliy.

It is great to see the bass actually suck in the worm as you tweek it through the grass or on top of the water.

The trick worm is a fun bait and it produces strikes.

I was apprehensive when I first started to use the pink ones but they work and they are easy to see, especially when the bass takes them.

Give the pink ones a try and let us know how you do.

I always carry the following colors:

watermelon

green pumpkin

junebug

black

white

chartreuse

I have had the most success with plain old black.

I might have to try pink though....

Green pumkin and smokin shad (I think that is what it is called) work the best for me.

Watermelon Red Flake! kills it. I always have this color for the majority of my plastics. Try the green/ red core. One time I had an amazing day using a bag of those.
