What are you guys using yours for? Does it excel at one particular presentation??

Don 't have a GLX but I have that rod in IMX and GL2, I use them as crankbait & soft plastic finesse rods.

I also have this rod in IMX. I use it for light wormin', shallow running crankbaits, stickbaits, jerkbaits.

I've got an IMX and use it for jerkbaits.  Thats about the only time I ever use it.

I have that rod in the imx but a 783 med-hvy and is my main worm, jig rod with the occational use for hopkins spoons and 1/2 oz jigs for stripers. The 782 is a little softer and should make a good spinnerbait crankbait topwater rod. ;)

I have the BCR852 GLX and it has handled everything I've thrown with it.  Shakey, tubes, t-rigs, shallow to deep cranks, spoons, ice jigs, light jigs, spinnerbaits, spooks, senko, you name it.  I've just never thrown heavy jigs, swimbaits, or C-rigs on it but it would be ridiculous for me to think that it would handle those.  Your rod is seven inches shorter but I am sure you will have similar results.

I too have the IMX. I bought it for hard jerkbaits, which it rocks out on. I'll use it for light soft plastics like brush hogs. It's an awesome rod.

I have the IMX, I use this rod for jerkbaits.  I like the way the rod loads up.  You should like the GLX, and I would say the rod excels for a jerkbait rod. You could use this rod for other presentations, but would not call the MBR782c an all around rod.
