.......pawn shops of course!

I stopped by a shop at lunch and picked up a Ambassadeur 4600 for 15.00 out the door with very little rash.

Stopped at two more shops and didn't find squat.

Shop number four had a 4600C3 with almost no rash on a 7' Ugly Stik for 50.00 out the door.

The 4600 will find home on the Ugly Stik and the 4600C3 will get new bearings and possibly a Castaway that will be rigged up for C-Rig and with a big piece of cut bait, I won't have to re-rig for channel cats.

I've hit a few of the pawn shops around here, but the only thing I found was a bunch of Pinnacle rods and reels. They tried to sell me the entire lot for what they had in it, but I wasn't interested.

I find that good deals at pawnshops are getting harder and harder to come by.  Especially at the "chain" pawnshops like Cash America Pawn etc.  The smaller shops still will have a good deal but it seems that the chain ones are charging arround market value for their used items now.  Anyone else noticing this?

A manager once told me that they even have a number to call that researches the prices on items when they dont know the value of something offhand.

Those pinnacles reels are the same they make for Bass Pro.
