Best Bass Fishing
Lets all be honest here. I have lived in 3 states, nothing compares to out here in California. I don't care what state your in. You also don't have other states stocking a 1000 pounds of trout every week either. Not trying to start anything, but it is the fact.

Help me fish the rocks
I have tried with 1/2 oz jig, with craw trailer. Various soft plastics that mimic something on the bottom. Tried running swimbaits over and stoping them on the back and front side, running them along side.

Help me fish the rocks
In a lake I fish there is an area of some large boulders in about 8 to 9 feet of water. Some of these rocks come right up to the surface. I have tried fishing on them with out much success. I am able to fish in between the rocks and catch some little ones. My best guess would be that larger fish are holding on those rocks. Any help with techniques would be welcomed.

Bought a 'toon
If you get one that is designed for river fishing, its not going to tip over . All of Creek Company pontoons are rated for type II white water, other manufacturers have theirs rated and some have ones that are not rated. I believe all the ones that Colorado make are type I white water rated. I haven't had a problem with any wake from boats and with the wind around here don't want to get caught in the wind so I pay great attention to the weather forecast. Being so light, and sitting out of the water the wind does blow you around some. You can put trolling motors on them, but the handle type I don't know how you could get a peddle type to work correctly unless you put a deck on and then raised the seat up and put the peddle on the deck. 36 pound thrust motors work really well for them though. Most just have standard boat seats on them, so the bolt patterns are the same as risers and swivels for boats.

Bought a 'toon
Thats why I have my rod holder only on the left side. I cast with my right hand, the rods don't get in the way. They also won't fall out because they go in all the way to the reel. If they fall out I have a lot bigger problems then my rods. I am able to take everything I want. I know the depth of where I am fishing and can find the any structure. Thats a big key when summer rolls around.

Cheap fishing kayak.
how about a pontoon? You still get some exercise, your able to hold more gear, and they are easier to fish from. this one is under your budget with free shipping. http://www.creekcompany.com/indivdisplay.php?primaryAutoID=6&Cat=Featured

You will like tooning! I have been having a blast since I got mine in January. I pump mine up at home with an electric pump then finish filling it at the lake with a double action pump. For my toon it takes about a minute for each pontoon with the hand pump, half that with the electric. I don't have wheels on mine...yet. I think I am going to make something rather then purchase it. Cabelas sells two wheel kits, but I am not impressed.

Courtesy of Fishing Spots
I did this on accident this past weekend. Guy was fishing off a point I was headed to, so I just went on the other side of the point and fished. Well I guess they were heading down that side. I usually like to keep my distance.

NEW MARYLAND STATE RECORD!!!
I used them for ice fishing and for saugeye and walleye fishing, but never bass. They do work for those three things, and I guess they work for bass too.

worm rattles
If you have a BPS master fishing catalog from 2007 they are on page 381. Or search for "rattle" at BPS website. I have always had to order them online. In fact, the BPS in the same town as I live doesn't carry them in stock.
