Featured Replies

Yes there are alot of carrot stix post but this doesn't come up in them (I wnet back to December). I'm just looking to see which one you guys have and what you use it for. I'm looking for a new rod and this is one of the choices.

Thanks

I have a 6'9" M-P that I use for crankbaits. I actually have only got to take it out once, but I really like the way it felt. I have a Chronarch 50Mg on it and it is super light. I also have a 7'3" MH but haven't got my Chronarch in the mail yet. I plan on throwing a T-rig with it.

Snacking!

Seriously though I got caught up in this at a fishing show and got to handle one. It is incredibly light and felt really good so the bait monkey got the better of me. I bought a 6'9" MH F LTX and have matched it with a Revo Premier (figured I'd try a new model reel with it too). The combo is very light and feels really great. I have yet to use it but I plan on using it mostly for t rigs and smaller jigs. I doubt I'll like it more than my Powell 703C & TD Z but you never know. I'll probably bring it to Guntersville to give it a trial run....we'll see.

6'9" LTX MH/F casting with Revo SX

3/4oz football jigs, 1/2oz traps, 1/2oz spinnerbaits. Works amazing, even today in the 20-40mph gusts.

6'7" LTX M/F spinning with Daiwa Sol 2500

all finesse plastics, shakey heads, drop shot, and lighter jigs.

I have a 6'9 med/parabolic and use it for sallow cranks, small jerks and when the topwater bite comes on I'll be using it for small poppers and spooks.

I use mine with a tuned Sol baitcaster for crankbaits.  One of my favorite combos.

I have the 6'9" parabolic rod that I use for crankbaits.  Although it is 35 degrees and snowing right now in Indy, I caught my first 2 fish with it today.  I have mine paired with a revo sx and really like it.  The short grip has taken some getting used to, but I like it now.

I haven't used my Carrot for anything yet, but once it gets here it will be paired with my Revo Primier and used for cranks.

It's a 6'9" Parabolic

I recently bought a 7'3" MHF LTX of jbshimanofan on the board(great seller) and this rod is incredible and will be my jig and worm stick(could be a good frog stick but sensitive and higher dollar is not my idea of a frog rod).  I fished it for the first time tonight and do not want to make enemies yet so I will not make comparisons just yet but it is d**n light and very sensitive.  Either way I see orange in my future :)

I use the 6'9" parabolic LTX rod paired with a Daiwa Steez for cranks, jerks, spinners, and hard swimbaits of 1 oz. or less.

I have the 7'2" MH Parabolic and I use it for mid and deep diving cranks.  I have it paired with a Shimano Metanium MG and I absolutely love it.  It is as light as a feather, it casts a mile, and it has all the power to bring in the big ones.  Great rod for the $!!!!!
