Is the X-Rap Slash Bait a good crankbait for Bass, I'm thinkning about trying it tommorow.

hey, the X-Rap series is great. the action is terrific and for the price, good bargain. i have 2; one with a big lip, and one with a small lip.

The Rapala X-Rap is a jerkbait, not a crankbait. The proper cadence of the retrieve varies, but it is some combination of jerk-jerk-pause-jerk-pause-jerk-jerk-jerk-pause. It is sometimes important to have a complete pause on slack line. With other jerkbaits the pause is crucial, but with the X-Rap I have found it shines when the bass are very aggressive. In those instances, the pause is not as important.

X-rap is one of the best lures you can get for its price IMHO.

It slays bass and works even better for pickerel. Must have!
