Yozuri Ultra Soft 15lb Line color

Featured Replies

I just bought a filler spool of Ultra Soft in clear to try out.  To me this looks like a milky color and it stands out in the water.  Also it is not as clear as regular Yozuri Hybrid.  Is this just a characteristic of this line?

Yes, the 6 lb. I use on my spinng reels is the same milky white color compared to regular Hybrid.  I noticed that too.  Way better line though for spinning gear IMO.

That's the exact reason I stopped using it. Color was so visible in the water, even braid doesn't stand out as much.

Ok thanks guys.  I think I will just stick with regular Hybrid for baitcasting then.

I've used both clear and mint green ultra soft as well as clear regular yozuri. Allthough the ultra soft looks milky above the water it seems to blend well once in the water. I fish often on the crystle clear water of Little Bay De Noc. I've never had a problem with the fish here "line shy" when using the clear ultra soft, and our smallies are SMART! On inland dirty or stained water I use the mint green.

#6 on all my spinning applications and #12 on my baitcasters, it'd good stuff.

The thinner lines (#4 & #6) are much less visible,

but if you are using #15 on a baitcaster I don't think

visibility is an issue, particularly with "moving" lures.
