Rod & Reel Upgrades DONE....I Hope

USPS delivered last Friday the Shimano Chronarch MG51 & Carrot Stix 6'9" MH baitcast rod.

I have those 2 teamed up on the bottom of the pic. I have to say that this is a VERY light setup. I have the Curado 101D on the Cumara 6'8" Med, extra fast rod & the Zillion on the Kistler Helium 6'9" MH. I can switch out the Chronarch MG & the Curado 101D w/ those 2 rods also, which I'll try out during the week.

I do have to say that w/o a digital scale, the Carrot Stix actually feel lighter than the Cumara. I need to borrow the neighbors scale to find that answer out.

Good work. I like your choices. You sure you don't need one more setup.... just one more....  ;D

very nice! i have the Boyd Duckett carrot stix, i love it, man...that thing is light!!

i love the picture - you've got me wanting to go and take a similar pic of my stuff!  very nice gear you've got there.  congrats.

Advantage HSTA or in my case the left hand version is a very nice reel...but...I feel the drag isn't quite as good or strong as the previous model Advantage Super Tune.  I tighten down the drag on the HSTLA & set the hook & there is some give to the drag.  Previous model this didn't happen, it was strong.

Besides that, the looks are great.  I like the swept handle & the metal thumb cast.  The red spool looks sweet, I may get red colored braid to go w/ this reel & the Zillion 7.1:1 reel, both have red spools.  I can alway color the first so many feet of braid w/ a black marker....
