Well I was thinking about getting a kistler spining rod for my birthday. I mainly fish ponds around my house. There are no docks and there is trees that me and my friend put in. So if anyone can help that would be great. Thanks alot ;D

Hello, joshuah123.  If you can provide a few more items of info it will help us to help you.  What types of lures do you plan on fishing with your spinning rod?  Are you looking for a good all-around rod or a rod that will perform well using particular lures or particular techniques?   8-)

Well I use shakyhead, and manely soft plastics. does that help any more? :-/

I'm sure some Kistler users will step up with some ideas.  I'm not a Kistler guy, but I checked their web site and you might check out the link below.  Your profile shows that you are 11 so, though I don't know your height, I'm making an assumption based on your age that you would want a shorter rod.  I would think the Magnesium All Purpose Medium 6'6" Spin Fishing Rod would be a good fit.

If you're not set on Kistler, and you do a lot of shaky heading...

I use a 702S Dobyns rod for shaky head and it's awesome. Fun to catch 2lbers with, and can still handle big fish. It's also great for drop shotting as well.

I only have one Kistler so far (MgSJCB610 casting rod) but i am very impressed with it on the two trips I've used it on so far.  I'm working on getting a second right now (MgDSFWML69S) for some light to medium duty spinning work, like weightless worms, drop shots, and shaky heads.  Extremely light and well-balanced.  Me likey....
