Removing sideplate of Revo S

Featured Replies

Hey guys I just got a Revo S, just wondering how to remove the sideplate.  I see in the instruction manual that you twist it, but I can't get it to come off.

Those Revo sideplates are a royal PITA to remove.

That too.  The first time I removed the sideplate on a Premier, it took me the better part of a day to replace it.

I wonder if that method Micro posted will work on my Ambassadeur 2005 Low-Profile Baitcast Reel? Lately when I cast, it makes a screeching noise. Needs some oiling after to much backyard casting practice.

I can't for the life of me figure out how to open it up.

after you twist it (counter-clockwise, btw), you then have to wiggle it as you're pulling up on it.

fwiw, the daiwas work the same way.
