Hi,

I am interested in finding the best knot to use when tying lures to 30 lb fluorocarbon leader material. I have used the Palomar knot with 10 lb to 15 lb line with great success. I want a knot that will not losen because of the diametre of the line.

What is the best knot for thicker diametre lines?

I'm a big fan of the Palomar Knot, but I have been experimenting with the Sixteen-Twenty (also known as Duncan Knot and Pitzen Knot) on some heavier line and it seems to be fine:

Best knot? I use the Palomar and Trilene knots for most ever thing with ~ no problems.  No reason to complicate things on this end.
