I am not looking for best for the money or a deal but in your opinion whats the best semi highend without going over $300.00.

$300?!!

dang near any of them.

stella.

If you have $300 to spend your options are endless. 8-)

If your looking for smooth and reliable try a shimano Saros $130, or a Diawa Sol $200 as for a rod.Well rods are like shoes buy what fits your needs and feel.Good luck and happy shopping.

Daiwa Tierra and use the rest to buy a rod. Sol is sound advice too though I'm not keen on the orange color (I think for that kind of coin, it should be pleasing to the eye too). Also, look at the Shimano stuff, Stradics, Sustains, Saros and the like. For the money, I really wasnt that impressed with the Stella

You could step up from the brands recommended to an Abu Garcia Cardinal 800 or Soron.  And have some money left over for some great lures.

Yeah ,i know shimano is pretty much out of the question , i've just never had good luck w/them in fact i just sold a sustain 2000 fd it was fairly new , only used 5-6 times but the handle and the rotor had a lot of play from day one. I just checked out a new one the fd and it also had the same play.

save allotta  lotta money and get a quantum incyte!

didnt  i just say this  on another thread? ::)

just kidding. if you had that kinda money a good shimano or diawa would be the way to go.
