AVC70MHF 7' MH Fast 12-20lb 3/8-1oz

im thinking about buying this rod for my heavier lures. i plan on using this for frogs, 3/4oz jigs, 3/4 oz spinnerbaits and light swim baits (king shad, bbz-1)

does this sound like a good choice?

if you own this rod, let me know what you use it for.

thanks in advance

I have this rod, for what you say you want to do, it is the wrong rod. You would be better off with the AVC70HF. More power, handles 3/4 oz and up baits much better, and weight is a non issue. JMHO

I own several and have built about a hundred or so.

The baits you listed handle very well on that blank except for the swimbaits they might be to close to the upper end of the lure ratings for the rod (but have never tried them).

Just my .02¢ as a builder....
