I was looking into the carrot stix, their great rods but I wanted to know what kind of reel to put on it For around 125 dollors the tierra nice but im not sure

What are you going to be throwing ? Plastics ,  spinners , cranks.

The Tierra is a nice reel for throwing your cranks , the gears are a little slow (4.7:1 , 28 IPT) but for plastics I perfer a faster reel with something like 6.2:1 gears , 35 IPT.

Check out the Shimano Symetre 2500 , front drag (99.99) or the Pflueger Supreme 9035. (99.95)

The Tierra is the best reel available for less than $200 IMO.

The best Carrot spinning combo I have felt is Matt 5.0's Sol. Thing is just sick, and almost matches.

My spinnng Carrot's all have Abu Cardinal center drags, but if I could, they would all be Sol's.

know the guys on flats class Almost always use the tierra plus i got to see it in action very smooth drag and a wonderful price 8-)

i use a quantum energy 20 on my carrot 7'0" med  and a tour 30 on my carrot 7'2" mh absolutely smooth and the colors are sweet too

My Sol was $165 brand new in the box. You gotta hunt around.
