Scan through the buyers previous purchases and it's clear he's a collector.

Not sure if this was a steal or not.  Given it's an un-cataloged color, NIB it's certainly worth alot to a vintage Bagleys collector but that's a lot of money!!

How much was it? I didn't get to see, it says bidding is closed  :).

Ya,no s--t.It cost 1.50 or less to ship a lure LOL. To quote one other member(forget who) on the last thread about this lure: "one word..... RIDICULOUS"

That is the third Bagley of that color to sell recently, the first went for 1100, the second for something like 1500, and now this one.  Apparently it is the rarest of all Bagley colors.  I've been keeping tabs on Bagley auctions for a while now, some of them go for crazy prices.  I buy and sell on Ebay, and wish I could get my hands on one or tow of those Christmas Tree Lures...

Here are some other crazily priced Bagley's:

I know what I will be looking for at yard sales and such.... :)

Some collect comic books some collect lures, no difference really.

Im sure the lure was worth that much if the guy paid that much for it.

Ouch!!!!!!! thats a burn...

Any of the old packaged Bagleys are worth some change...not 2 grand worth of change, but are pretty sought after.    I'm sure Avid will say he can go to Bass Pro and buy a 'vintage' DB2 he would sell you  :).  Mike Iaconelli spent $50 to have a vintage B2 restored...you know that dog would hunt.  As a kid when I first got into bass fishing, I remember going into tiny ma and pa tackle stores by the lakes I visited with my uncle and seeing really old packages from several brands.  I bet they would be worth money now...I should have cleaned out the Wiggle Warts and Bagleys.  Who knew?  There is a small minnow shop by Grand Lake, and they still have a bunch of ancient soft plastics.  Really old Gene Larews, Guido Bugs, and even Gillrakers!  Come on...Gillrakers would give culprits a run for their money!

LOL, this guy wants you to pay 3.00$ for shipping on a lure thats 2 grand. Thats funny stuff

That guy needs to get a hold of me, I can make him and myself very happy.

The sad thing is that it probably cost the seller $2.50 when it was new!   ;D

This auction is about collecting, not about fishing.  Ebay sets the market for just about everything now days.

If your not a collector of the item being sold ( comic books, lures, guitars, art ), have little or now value to you.  I have a collection ( not of lures ) and I don't expect many people to understand why and how much I pay for the items.

I say good for the winner.  There were 11 bids and the starting price was .99.    He got what he wanted.

I am thinking about starting a vintage lure collection of my own, because I have found two really really old lures, and several other old lures the past couple years.

wow, those are a blast from the past, haha

If I had known back then,........

I done good
