I finally pulled the trigger.................

Featured Replies

It seems I have this desease that can only be helped by making fishing related purchases during the hard water months.

I finally decided to get myself some higher end equipment!

Today I went down to a local tackle shop and bought myself a Curado 200E7 and an e21 CLTX761H-F-C carrot stick to put it on.

Too bad I cant fish with it yet. :)

I still can't believe I spent so much on ONE setup,  hopefully everyone on here who spends copious amounts of money on gear and swears it is worth the price, is right.

Congratulations!

;D ;D ;D

i know how you feel ,i pulled the trigger last week when i bought a st croix legend elite rod  after pondering it for weeks. the tv blasting all the gloom about the economy over and over makes it tough to want to go out and spend hundreds on equipment      this is the first high end piece of fishing equipment ive bought. its a bummer i wont be able to use it for a few weeks. i have it leaning against the wall in the upstairs bedroom. its like a pet ,i pick it up and look at it daily.

I can honestly say that my buyer's remorse has comes from cheap fishing rod or reel purchases, where I talked myself into saving a couple bucks... it almost always backfires.  I had 1 mediocre experience with a JDM reel but that is resolved now. (and was my only high end reel purchase I wasn't immediately thrilled with)  I think you will really like the Curado.  (I have 2 of them)

I can't/won't comment on the rod but I think you made a good decision on the reel...  except that you might start liking your other reels a lot less.   :)

the first fish you catch on a good combo will always make the pain of buying it go away.

the pain of buying it go away.

What pain? :-?

Nothing wrong with buying a good combo.  I got sick of buying the lesser rods & reels and replacing them every year or 2.  You buy a good set up and you will have that a long time.  That must be one ugly combo with the green reel & bright orange rod ;D  I was jut making fun of my buddy who bought the Curado and put it on a St. Croix Legend bass (blue rod)...........I guess I just like to color coordinate.

You feel bad...I feel worse.

I picked up 4 Curado e7s

1 Crucial rod

1 Cumara rod

tons of line, lures, tackle box, terminal tackle, and etc

And I'm planning on getting a HB side imaging, another reel, and the list goes on.

Must have spent at least a $1000 so far.

It's getting out of hand!

That is a bad a.. rod, not sure about the reel tho....

I feel you pain as well maybe even worse...

Just bought a Revo winch and a StCroixLTB big cranker, both of which had to be special ordered through basspro, so half a grand is gone and I have to wait up to 2 weeks. but that gives this ice some time to give way to the sun and start warming them hawg bellys up. Let us know how you like your new combo

Hahaha, I wouldn't even worry about your purchase dude...once you catch a few fish on it you won't even remember how much you paid! I'm still waiting for Chronarch D and the Dobyns Extreme rods to come out! That's about $620+Tax PER SETUP! Totally worth all the money!
