Go to the members section and look up Bass Mechanic.

He has the different knots on his web site.

As stated above, learn to tie the Palamor know for all baits.

Even when using braid, tie the Palamor knot.

If using a leader, tie a Uni Knot.

There are books on knots you can buy.

Check out You Tube to see how different knots are tied.

Buy some DVDs on fishing and the pros will show you their favorite knots, like Woo Daves favorite knot for some plastics.

The Reel Mechanic is a good start.  ;)

Sorry, make that Reel Mechanic.

It is late and I am tired.

Later.  ;)

Especially with braid, singe the end of the line, it definitely reduces the chance of a pull thru.  I carry a bic, no need for a scissors for braid

I generally tie a Palomar Knot, but on bigger lures it can be cumbersome. This is another knot I tie:

Pitzen, Sixteen Twenty and Ducan are three names for the same knot.

I use the uni-knot of every connection except Tx rigging. I use the Palomar knot for Tx rigging to have a shorter knot for the sinker to have contact with.

the 3 knots i use are the:

palomar

uni to uni

jig loop

each one has its own purpose. if you are using power pro, they have a nice pictured diagram of the palomar and the uni to uni in the brochure. i use the jig loop  when fishing giggy heads and baits that do not have a split ring. jig loops do not work with braided line.
