Question for the St. Croix guys

Featured Replies

I came across a new / old Legend spinning rod. $80. 6'6" M/F but, 2pc. This rod feels great. Skeptical on the 2 pc. I heard that St. Croix used to have issues with the ferrells. I am also concerned about the warranty on an out of production rod. I will call St. Croix Monday but, thought I'd run it by a few of you guys first.

A Legend Elite for $80????????? What color is the blank? Anyways if it is a Legend Elite, $80 is robbery, I would buy it at that price fast.

No, it is the old Legend series from a number of years ago but, it is still new. SCIV graphite, burgundy wraps, charcoal blank. If it had been a Legend Elite, I would be fondling it right now instead of typing.

dave, find the model number and call 1-800-826-7042 and ask how much it would cost you to trade it in for a new rod (make sure you add shipping costs). have the model number for the rod youd like to trade it for handy. if the rod was not made before 2001 you might get a great deal on brand new legend elite or tournament. if you end up doing this, ask the store for a rod tube to mail it in when you purchase it.

You can do that. I am going to search all my old tackle shops right now.
