Line Memory Help Please?

Featured Replies

Just pulled out some Yo-Zuri Hybrid that I bought in October.  As I started re spooling a new reel, I noticed the line has built up quite a memory.  It's curling all over the place.

Any suggestions to help me get my line back to "normal" before I put it on my new reel?

Thanks!

you can soak the spool in warm water for five minutes and then respool.  You can also trail it downstream of you to get out any twist.  Finally if the other two are out, you can unspool it across a large grassy area, tie the end to something, put it under tension for a minute or two, and then respool, letting it drag across the grass.

kvd's line conditioner really helps.

Had the same problem with some Ultra Soft I had spooled on a spinning reel and the KVD line conditioner really does help

1.  KVD Lure and Line Conditioner

2.  What VolFan says if #1 does not give you the desired results.  :)

The perfect solution.........

OR

You can put a swivel on the end of the line, then clip it to a fence. Walk out the line, then reel back tightly thru your fingers.

This is one of the reasons I use braid.
