Curado 201dpv

Featured Replies

Would this make a good cranking reel? It has the 5.0:1 ratio, but it seems heavy. The IPT is at 21". It looks like the older model Curado, has anybody used this?

I had a 200DPV for cranking and it was great.  It cast light baits better than my Revo Winch.  The Wiinch cast heavy baits better.  But the DPV was a better all around cranking reel IMO becuase it handled all weights well.

I am using this reel right now and love everything about it except that it is hard to palm for the twitching motions. If you use it for cranks, it's great, but I find it hard at time for jerkbaits, poppers and walking the dog baits. A tad big for that.

I have this reel on one of my cranking rods and the thing is awesome.  I am looking for another one for cheap on ebay as well.  The Curado D is one of the best casting reels that I have ever used, right on par with the Chronarch.  IMO

The only bad thing with this reel is the size.  Other then that it is top notch.

Later, ;)
