What a frustrating day!!!

Featured Replies

1. Found great dael on Bullet boat, but wife says no. Can't afford boat and divorce.

2. Tomorrow makes  one month that I have been waiting for e21 too replace Carrot Stix.

3. Took apart 3 reels today to lube. It took 3 tries to get the Tica Sculptor back together, then sold it to coworker.  Revo s Ihave tried numerous times. It is either stiff to reel and spool doesn't turn, or  reels freely, but won't engage spool after, turning handle, or twice everything worked fine until I put it back on rod, then wouldn't engage. I know that is just coincidence, but is ticking me off.

4. Rain, rain rain, and more rain on the way.

Man i have been down that road before(opening reels). I ruined two or 10 before i got it! ;D

What i do is get a work bench and place every little part in a sequence according on how i removed it from the reel. Then i just follow the sequence when i go to put it back together.

Thanks for the support Dink. I did just as you said, it seems that the ratchet gear keeps movingon drive shaft, when reassembling. Then it doesn't connect with clutch, to pop the thumb bar back. Interestingly enough that is what happened on the Tica as well. I wonder if the way i disassemble is causing this, obviously I am not getting something correct on reassembly.

Just a little hint here for you...

Don't Ever Open A Reel Without Having The Schematic In Front Of You..

I have 24 years at this, even when I get in a hurry just laying the parts in a assembly sequence can sometimes fail to get the right orientation. That's why the manufacturer supplies the schematic..."Visual Reference"

Just my .02¢..

Good Luck & Tight Lines!!!

Goes without saying - good advice.

If you (or someone you know) has access to an office copy machine, you can make enlarged copies of your schematics. Some of mine are very small and can be difficult to read.

Ha, I got it back together and it is working. I can't tell that I done anything differently than the other times..... now if that Carrot Stix shows up and the wife would change her mind on the Bullet.

    # 4 doesn't sound so bad I have caught some hawgs while fishing in the rain.

I feel sorry for everything else though, thats gotta suck.
