The Banjo Minnow

Featured Replies

Just wondering if anyone has used or heard of the banjo minnow. I got it as a gift from my brother in law for Christmas. I watched the instructional dvd and it showed the action of the lure and how it compares to a real life minnow.

If anyone has any feedback on the banjo minnow I will be glad to hear it. If not then I would like to hear some insight on what yall think about it.

I am going to try it out later on when it warms back up lol.

God bless

John, you might catch some fish on the minnow, but it's not a "Magic Lure". Generally, a Banjo Minnow will work when almost anything would work better. For the most part, this is a lure you might fish instead of a Slug-Go (fluke).

Exactly right, but instead of using the screw to connect it to the hook, just buy different hooks and texas rig it.

Oh ok. I thought that this lure would be a great one being that it mimics real fish, etc. I am sure this lure would work at my home lake where the bass feed on an abundance of gizzard shad.

So would it work there? or is there still a bunch of different lures that would be better?

Only the bass in your lake will give you a qualified answer to your question. Some lures work better on certain lakes.
