Xpeditor Question

Featured Replies

I unfortunately broke one of my G Loomis spinning rods, because I am an idiot.  I like this rod a lot, but I have been eyeing up a GLX version (mine was an IMX).  Would they let me upgrade through the Xpeditor program (with extra money added of course) or is it strictly a direct swap program (by paying the $50)?  Thanks for your help.

Pretty sure they allow upgrades... just give them a call, their customer service is very helpful and friendly.

They will upgrade, but would prefer sending you the replacement

to swap-out yourself. I upgraded through BPS and simply paid the

difference. I brought the new rod to the store, unopened, swapped

for a GLX MBR844C and sent the broken rod back in the tube sent.

The entire transaction was seamless.

BTW...My broken rod was a victim of "STUPID", too.

I have tried it both ways and it depends on who you talk to at Loomis. It also depends if they have the rod in stock. I am still waiting on a rod that was shipped back broken in Feb. All that said Loomis  has great service.

I had the same question recently, and here is Anna Kittoe's reponse:

Hi John

We do not have a exchange program. We do allow a onetime only Expeditor service exchange, if someone has a BSR852 and would like to get the BCR852 we would allow this ( one time only ) If there is a price difference they would pay the difference and the $50. Service

Thank you

That said, you could always give this dealer a call: http://www.gloomis.us/Default.aspx, as they have one of the LARGEST inventories of G. Loomis, and see what they can do.

Do it through American Legacy www.gloomis.us and I know they will for sure. Did it last month on a drop shot rod.
