Salt water fishing with my Curado E7

Featured Replies

This weekend I may be going to the beach and Im wondering if I can use my Curado E7 in salt water. Im thinking about buying a saltwater rod and strapping my curado on it.

Yes you can use it, but that doesn 't mean you can neglect it. In practical terms any reel can be used in either ( except for them bare magnesium framed reels ), but, slatwater and freshwater equipment should be rinsed thoroughly with running fresh water to eliminate any salt as soon as you can after fishing with it in salt/brackish water or the metallic parts will corrode.

No problem.........rinse the rod guides and don't for get to rinse the lures, especially spoons.
