OK so i would like to find some cheap swimbaits from optimum or somthing like that if yall could just give me some ideas of some good swimbaits under 10 bucks

The money minnows are 9.50 for 4 but thats not including the price for some good weighted hooks.

I'm kind of thinking along the same lines - looking at some cheaper soft plastic swim baits to try.  I mainly fish Lake of the Ozarks and Pomme de Terre here in Missouri.  I haven't heard much on swimbaits on either lake.  But I'm always willing to try something new.

I've looked at:

Bass Pro's XPS - one 4 1/2" body for $4.99 with 5 natural color options and pre-rigged trebble hook.

Luck-E-Strike Bass Magic - six 4 1/2" bodies for $7.99 - different shape from Bass Pro's, 7 color choices, but without hooks.

Storm Kickin' Minnow - one 6" body for $2.39 with two pre-rigged trebble hooks and a lip,  6 color options aren't quite as good.

Storm WildEye Swim Shad - four 5" or 6" for $3.69 and come rigged with a single hook and 8 color choices.

I've tried to read as many reviews online as I can find and most people seem to like them all (though BPS's version tears to easily for some).  Anybody tried any of these?

the best swimbait you can buy at a great price is the mattlures .... there are so many swimbaits out there to pick from now days ,,, i still believe youd be hard pressed to beat the baby bass series by mattlures .... and the price isnt bad for the quality swimbaits you will recieve ....

Mike bat is right, for the money, matt lures is a good SB.  It's a little over 10 bucks, but well worth the extra.  Also the 3:16 mighty minnow is a fav of mine.  I love using it in ponds.  It's weedless and basically swims almost at the top.

If you are after big fish you 'd better start thinking big, Fish Chris ( and I think his records are well worth taking in consideration ) once mentioned that you shouldn 't waste your time with 4 inch baits, if you are going big go big or go home.

A 4 inch bait is about the size of a jerkbait or a bigger size crank.

That's what I realized at BPS when looking at the Luck E STrikes. I wanted to get the 4" version because I was worried about the bait being too big but then I thought about it and realized that I fish 4 and 5" jerkbaits all the time so I got the bigger size.
