Looking to buy a flippin & pitchin set up! Suggestions?

Featured Replies

I need a new flipping and pitching set-up and I was wondering if ya'll had any suggestions? Gonna try and stay around the $250-300 range for set-up if possible!

If you will be flippin more than i would recommend a Powell 765C or 766H. If you will be pitchin more than i would say a Powell 705C or a Kistler Argon 7' 1" rod. The reel would be a Revo STX for either one.

Shimano Citica 200 E or Abu Garcia Revo S

Falcon Cara Amistad - The ultimate "power" rod for fishing jigs and soft plastics.

Shimano Crucial CRC-X72H, Line Weight: 15-30 lbs. mono/ 30-65 lbs. braid. Extra Fast Action. This rod is ideal for pitching worms and jigs in heavier cover with a lot of power to pull them out. Also great for fishing frogs over thick vegetation.

I agree with Dink, the 705c is a great all around rod.  After this weekend I may have to get myself a 765 or 766.
