ive narrowed down my choices to these two:

they both have great reveiws but not quite sure which one to choose and i bet most of the members here know more than i do, and would love the opinion of other fisherman

Dont let the names trick you. Almost any soft plastic can be effictively drop shotted. If its plastic and you can catch bass with it, then it will work on a drop shot.

I've used/seen tons of different plastics drop shotted and most work fine.. It kinda depends on what the bass feed on in your area In my opinion I like the Yum tubes and Also Any kind of Craw fish like plastics work well Worm like baits are always great to.. like Thefishin1 said if its plastic and catches fish you can drop shot it

Go buy some Roboworms 4" and 6" straight tail worms. They are amazingly soft, have the best movement out of any worm I've drop shotted so far, and they catch fish.

 Aarons magic is a killer color to start with.

Just MHO, but you should gather a variety of different lures. Some sink, some float and some just about suspend with the hook. Each can offer a different presentation. If you go with only one as you propose, you run the risk of not having something the fish want.

As already mentioned, many plastics can be used to drop shot.

Sinkers

Senkos and similar stick types

Both of the options you linked look like they have great potential, but I have not used either.

Go buy some Roboworms 4" and 6" straight tail worms. They are amazingly soft, have the best movement out of any worm I've drop shotted so far, and they catch fish.

Robos have amazing action on a dropshot.

Best I've found are the Zeal DS worms tht Culprit marketed a couple of years back.

Can't find them anymore.

Anyone know where to get some? They are like the first BPS worm listed above. Just a bit thicker at top.

GYBC shad shaped worm is good too.

These work great for me and they are cheap. If I can find my camera tonight I will post some pics of the DS minnows I make out of supersoft plastic.

You will not notice much of a difference between those two baits- they are both 4" and have roughly the same profile-

These in the split tail are the best drop shot bait I have ever used. The only problem is they are expensive and hard to find. I did find a mold similar to these so now I pour my own.

My favorite ds worm / bait is The Luck-E-Strike "Rick Clunn" Razor worm. It's a simple 4" straight tail worm that comes 20 to a pack for $2.19

Bass Pro carries them, that's about the only place I can find them. I don't get too fancy colorwise, green pumpkin, watermelon w/ red flake, and a pumpkin color cover just about everything for me.

I would not even try that after buying fishbelly's swimbait. I had it in 5 or 6 inches, i forget. The tail did not swim at all, tried all different weight, it sucked.

i've used the second link lure a lot and have a a lot of success with the watermelon red flake color

I cant believe that I'm letting this out but the best thing that I have ever found for dropshots and not to mention shakey heads are the Roboworms in Margarita Mutilator III color. I go through 5-6 bags of these each month because they catch so many fish.

I cannot coment on any swimbait but these work the same reason roboworms work in that they are made of softer plastic.

I have great luck with these worms.  I even use the small worms from the Luck e strike shakey head kit.
