    Have you fished with a DC reel?  I wouldn't use the word ease myself.  If you get it dialed in for just what you're doing it's great, but when I fished with one we were going in & out of the wind, as well as making some short & some long casts.  I had to spend more time dialing in the reel than fishing with it.

    If you were casting the same way, with the same lure & same wind direction all day they'd be awesome.  Otherwise I find the thumb to be a much easier cast control.
