Zebco Upgrades ???

Featured Replies

Does anyone know where or even if upgrades for Zebco reels exist? My father in law loves to fish with Zebco  reels, but I feel that he is at a disadvantage on speed when we fish for bass under certain conditions and I would like to "Upgrade" one of his old or new closed face reels to see if it would help

Thanks

Harshman

The only thing I know of is the new "high end" zebco's that are out. I bought a friend of mine a zebco omega (also a lifelong zebco user) for his retirement and he absolutely LOVES it. As far as speed, I think every zebco is like 5:1 or something like that.

I don't know about upgrades but I'm sure somebody will chime in with the "high end" Zebco. I forgot it's name but apparently it the **** for Zebco's. I'll probably end up buying one sometime for my nephew.

Most all of the line up for Zebco, Omega, Delta, Platinum, Platinum Ti, Authentic, Standard, Pro Staff, run GR's from 2.6:1 to 4.3:1 ..

No upgrades.....

Good Luck & Tight Lines!!!

The Omega is a nice little reel. My partner has a couple for kids

and people who don't fish much. I have used them for skipjack

(striper bait). These reels are several years old and have never

been serviced. As far as spincasters go, these are great.
