favorite swimbait?

Featured Replies

I'll be going down to central florida the first week of Febuary and would like some advice on what swimbaits to use, The lake I'll be fishing is mostly shallow with much grass and bullrush in 3 to 5 feet of water. the deepest part of the lake is about 15 feet out in the open water.

I 've got two favorites, Fish Arrow Monster Jack and Daiwa Dead or Alive, doesn 't mean they are the most fish catchingest baits, I like them and have caught many fish with them.

I would throw the Baitsmith 6" Blue Ghost hands down over any other bait. ( www.baitsmith.com)

If I were throw a hardbait I'd go with the Wake Jr.

I hear you.  Redline has a boat FULL of expensive swimbaits but I only threw a few.  I hate the feeling of being hesitant about losing a bait.

I did see him catch on the Wake jr though, the first time I got to see, in person, one of these big Cali baits work.

Robert too I think,...scared the hell out of him when he got hit.  we laughed for a bit over that one, lol.

It went like this....."Oh Shyt,....I got one".... proceeded by some laughs of disbelief.

The Wake Jr. is probably my favorite.
