Gander Mountain rods?

Featured Replies

That is a hard question because I think they have been made by different manufacturers over the years.  I bought several a few years ago and they have been OK.  I bought two last year and both have had issues with guides coming loose, etc.

I have 3 of their "Pro Select" series rods. They have all worked fine for me. Great bang for the buck, IMO.

I have two GM Pro Select rods and have been very happy with them. As mentioned earlier I have also heard that the blanks come from varying sources.

I have 3 or 4, and have no complaints with them.  I have a Tournament Pike MH rod which is really nice.

Lightweight, handles the appropriately rated lures well, handles the fish well.  Very sensitive.

I have one MH spinning rod in the Pro Select series that's about three years old. I've been very pleased and wouldn't hesitate to buy another if the need arises.

i got the tournament combo and no complaints on it biggest i caught so far of that one was 3.5 using the hula popper.

I have a 6'6'' ultralight and works fine for bluegill and crappie, but thats not really a testing species list. It works great for what I use it for, and I know another guy who uses them alot.
